Mike Sanford
Mike Sanford was born in NY. Mike started martial arts with Boxing and Wrestling as a young child, then branched into traditional martial arts eventually finding his way into MMA and Brazilian Jiujitsu. Mike lived in the Academy of Master Mansor where he began teaching and competing full-time in 2006. Circumstances then took him to Florida where he trained under Daniel and Diego Moraes who he would receive his black belt from in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2010, UFC up and comer Alan Belcher hired Mike on to take a lead coaching role at his gym in Mississippi where Mike has run camps and corned dozens of high level fights and helped several people reach the world’s top rankings for Mixed Martial Arts and Bare Knuckle fighting. Mike decided to compete professionally as a mixed Martial Artist for the first time at 39 years old due to the resurgence of Bare Knuckle MMA thanks to Jorge Masvidal’s promotion, and between coaching worldwide at the highest levels for years, and first hand bareknuckle fighting experience Mike has a unique and qualified perspective on martial arts and what it takes to reach the pinnacle of fighting.
